Call for applications 2018 UNESCO-King Hamad Bin Isa Al-Khalifa ICT in Education Prize
UNESCO is pleased to invite you to submit applications and nominations for the 2018 UNESCO-King Hamad Bin Isa Al-Khalifa ICT in Education Prize.
Created in 2005, the Prize rewards individuals and organizations who are promoting innovations in leveraging ICT for achieving Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4 on education.
This year’s theme is: ‘‘The use of innovative Information and Communication Technologies to ensure education for vulnerable groups”. The winning projects should particularly focus on out-of-school children, non-literate or under-skilled youth or adults suffering from various barriers, personal disabilities, gender inequalities or crisis-affected situations. Special attention will be given to projects that use integrated ICT solutions that blend commonly used technology with frontier ICT applications relating to Artificial Intelligence, Augmented Reality, machine learning, robotics, big data, etc.
The application and nomination process takes place via an online platform (for new users, please register here).
Please note, that all online applications should be supported by a National Commission for UNESCO or an NGO in official partnership with UNESCO.
